Enjoy what summer has to offer in & around Boulder
Summer is such a beautiful season here in Colorado and particularly in Boulder where we have the faces of the Flatirons beckoning us to hike, climb, and bike; the plethora of green parks inviting us to linger and lounge at a performance or play; the many patios up and down Pearl Street shaded by leafy branches, beckoning us to have a seat, share a conversation and a beverage. Boulder slows down in the summer as school’s out and the city takes a breather. My post this month is to invite you to take a breather too and enjoy what Boulder has to offer in the summer. Here are a few of my favorites:
Colorado Shakespeare Festival – There’s no better way to see a Shakespearean play but outdoors! Each summer we have the thrill of enjoying Boulder’s own Shakespeare Festival with performances throughout June, July and August, outdoors at the Mary Rippon Theater. The full schedule and ticket information is here.
Concerts in the Park – Explore a different park and catch a concert each Monday evening in late June and all of July. The Boulder Concert Band will be playing so bring a blanket, some lawn chairs and enjoy the parks in and around Boulder. Find the full schedule and information here. And in Lafayette: here
Boulder International Fringe Festival – If you love art and exploring new expressions of creativity, check out the Fringe Festival August 16-27. Artists from all over the world will be converging on Boulder to showcase their unique works. It’s a great, local event to discover some new, accessible artists! For full schedule click here
Boulder Craft Beer Festival – Summer in Colorado wouldn’t be complete without a beer festival and Boulder’s Craft Beer Fest is one of the best. On August 19 th , the event showcases Boulder County breweries and cideries so it’s a great chance to tour much of what our area has to offer all at one event. The fest also includes live music and food trucks. Needless to say, it’s a popular ticket and sells out quick. You can get all the information here.
Spend time on the Farm – Connecting back to our roots, our agricultural roots, that is, is also a great Boulder summer activity. There are so many farms in the area where you can go and pick your own produce (Hoot n’ Howl Farm); practice yoga with ME at Stonebridge Farm CSA on Wednesday mornings; or enjoy a summer evening farm-to-table dinner – at a real farm.
Here’s to a peaceful, joyful summer! And remember, if you are considering selling your home or buying this summer, the market is in your favor. Reach out and I’m happy to help you explore your options.
